Week 2: Listening.

This week, I continued listening to the radio as last week, but I did something that I really enjoyed... WATCH MOVIES!!!
The strategy of this week was to watch some of my favourite movies without subtitles and obviously, in English. Everyday, I chose one movie to watch during that day and at the end of the day, I told the story to a friend of mine, using new words learned. During the proccess of watching the movie, I had to write the phrases that I didnt't understand, figure out what they were about and then, look for them on the internet to correct my mistakes. It was wonderful because now I know how to say phrases of some movies that I love and use them properly, also, because It seemed that it was the first time I saw those movies (because of the language that I was listening to) and also, because of the mixed fellings that each one of them made me feel.

The movies that I watch were:

•Dear John
•The last Song
•A walk to remember
•The notebook
•The lucky one
•Safe haven

Week 1: Listening.

This week, I decided to start the proccess of improving listening. To do it so, I looked for some American and British radio websites to listen everyday. I started listening to "Radio wales", a radio from the united kingdom. This was great because it has diverse news and interviews, sometimes I wasn't able to understand some words but in general, it was good; I know this will help me with the listening exams (because of its british accent) and also, to be more connected to the world. I listened to this in the mornings while I was getting ready to go to university. At nights, I listened to "RadioTunes - Love music", a station from the USA which features love songs, I chose this one because this kind of music helps me to concentrate while doing homework or reading and also, because I found a lot of new songs that now I'm loving. The last radio station that I listened to was ".977 - Today's hits" I really liked it because the music it plays is hugely cheerful and I found a lot of new music and also, music that I'm accustomed to. I listened to this chiefly when I felt tired and with no motivation to do something as cleaning my bedroom or working out on the stationary bike.
To summarise, listening to the radio was a good experience. I found plenty of interesting radio stations all over the world that I didn't know that exist. I think I will keep doing this not just as a way of improving English but for fun.
